Ways to Style your Favorite Vest

We’ve grown to love knitwear all throughout winter, and now that we say hello to spring, we’re sad to see knitwear go. But it doesn’t have to be all or nothing since you can add a colorful, spring vest to lots of outfits and keep the magic alive.

We can thank Bella Hadid and Harry Styles for bringing this look to our attention, and it’s undeniable that a vest is a really versatile, staple piece you can add to your wardrobe. So, if you’re looking for ways to style vests you’ll like our top tips we’ve rounded up here.

  • Go ultra-feminine: If you’re styling sweater vests, you’ve probably seen many outfits that feel cute but look frumpy. A surefire way to avoid this ugly Christmas sweater aesthetic is taking a feminine route. Think olive blouse, beige pencil skirt and a white sweater vest. Or turtleneck maxi dress with a cable knit vest and matching handbag.
  • Monochrome: Mixing and matching can become super simple when you stick to a monochromatic look. Anything from an oversized tee with tailored trousers and a sweater vest, to black, flared jeans, thin turtleneck, bucket hat and black knit vest, you can rock out so many looks as long as you keep the same color palette.
  • Go commando: With warmer weather, vests become way more comfortable when you wear nothing underneath. And we’ve seen Rihanna and A$AP Rocky prove that it can work. So embrace the practical look, and wear some matching jewelry to pull everything together.
