3 Easy Ways to Get Wavy Beach Hair

Mermaid hair, sexy beach curls, effortless wave – this is one style that everyone wants during summer. Here are three easy tips to getting the perfect beach hair (even if you don’t live anywhere near a beach):

The first step is to prep the hair with a heat protectant. Make sure the hair is completely dry before sectioning the hair into four quadrants – an easy way to do this is part hair across the scalp from ear to ear, then part again from forehead to the nape.

For the second step, use a curling iron (at least 1 inch thick or more – the wider the barrel the looser the wave) and start curing sections of the hair in a direction away from the face. For a natural, wavy look you’ll want to keep the last inch or two out of the curling iron. There are a variety of curling iron styles available that offer two or three barrels, which make crimping and curling the hair even faster.

Finally, in the third step, once all sections of the hair have been curled away from the face, gently brush and loosen curls with your fingers and spray with a light-hold hairspray or texturizing spray.

Wave beach hair is a simple and long-lasting style!

For best results, try curling your hair when it’s a couple days out from shampooing to give it more hold and texture (or consider adding a saltwater spray to freshly washed hair and let air dry before curling.
