Winner of a landmark 2011 Grammy for Best New Artist, the siren-voiced, tri-lingual jazz singer, bassist and composer weaves jazz, folk and world music with soul, pop and classical into her newest release. She’s been on David Letterman, Jimmy Kimmel Live and NPR; performed at the White House; and been profiled in the New Yorker.

Magical multi-media holiday fun! Back by popular demand, the orchestra performs Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker Suite and a new work based on the fairytale The Emperor and the Nightingale, with music by New Zealand composer Jenny McLeod. Eugene Albulescu conducts.

“Rioult Dance Fables” - Family-Friendly!
Rioult premieres Jean de La Fontaine’s marvelous fables, including The Tortoise and the Hare and The Grasshopper and the Ant, with new music by Lehigh’s Paul Salerni. Plus, the company performs the moving Small Steps, Tiny Revolutions, about a boy aching to dance despite his father’s disapproval, commissioned by Zoellner and premiered in 2008. Local students will join the professional dancers in several fables.
